FoodSHAP® Level 2: Basic Food Safety Training 2026 - A Recap

LTB members and their staff recently participated in the FoodSHAP® Level 2: Basic Food Safety for Food Handlers Training session held last June 9, 2026. This program, led by Ms. Bernadette Barayang, provided participants with advanced knowledge and practical skills in food safety and handling protocols.

The day-long training focused on equipping food service professionals with the expertise needed to implement and maintain stringent food safety standards in their establishments. Participants engaged in both practical discussions and entertaining hands-on activities designed to reinforce best practices in food safety management.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed refreshments such as Assorted Sandwiches, as well as Spaghetti Bolognese with Pizza, and a delicious lunch such as Chicken Cacciatore and Beer Battered Fish Fillet, catered by Milky Way Café.

The training program was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Winterhalter Philippines Inc., demonstrating their commitment to promoting excellence in food safety across the industry.

LTB members who completed the training are now better equipped to implement comprehensive food safety management systems in their respective establishments, ensuring both regulatory compliance and customer trust.
